Miranda Lambert recently posed without makeup for PEOPLE magazine’s World’s Most Beautiful issue. She says she does her own makeup and hair on tour, but offstage she prefers tinted moisturizer, sunscreen, mascara, and lip gloss. And Blake prefers her without all the gunk on her face.
Justin Moore plans to disconnect from his phone and social media for a day, and spend time with his family. He’s taking part in outdoor retailer Cabela’s challenge to “ditch devices” and enjoy the great outdoors. Tim McGraw, Billy Currington, and Chase Bryant are getting backlash from gun rights activists over agreeing to perform at the Concert for Sandy Hook Promise. The goal of the organization hosting the event is to raise funds to protect children against gun violence. Some seem to think that it’s about taking away their guns.
With Blake Shelton hosting the ACM’s on Sunday… Miranda Lambert decided to bring AshleyMonroe as her date. The two ladies have coordinated red carpet looks for the big event. Speaking of the ACM’s this Sunday, Garth says he might have to lip-sync on the show! He’s got five shows in Portland before the awards show… and he says there’s a good chance his voice will be shot after the fifth. Little Big Town’s Kimberly Schlapman releases her first cookbook, Oh, Gussie! Cooking and Visiting in Kimberly’s Southern Kitchen today. The book features stories and recipes from the foothills of Appalachian Georgia where she grew up, as well as specialties from her travels with the band.
Miranda Lambert is up for EIGHT ACM Awards at this Sunday’s ceremony, including Entertainer of the Year. She says she’s just pinching herself because when she was growing up, she’d try to predict the winners – but she never imagined she’d be one.

Justin Moore says his family is crazy for the outdoors. They like to hunt and camp… but Justin says his wife Kate won’t do the whole “tent in the middle of the mountain” thing. She’ll do her camping on a tour bus.
We know he’s not above wearing a leotard to try to get your ACM votes… now Luke Bryan is sucking up to what he’s called “The Best Fans on Earth” to crown him ACM Entertainer of the Year. Luke Bryan is the country front-runner at this year’s Billboard Music Awards. He is a finalist in 3 categories, with a total of 4 chances to win. Jason Aldean and Florida Georgia Line got 3 each, and Brantley Gilbert got 2. The show airs live from Vegas on May 17th on ABC.
Luke Bryan, Eric Church and Alabama are among the off-camera winners at the ACM Awards. Luke wins the Gene Weed Special Achievement Award which for his success in country music, Eric takes the Jim Reeves International Award for his outstanding contributions to the acceptance of country music throughout the world. Alabama receives the Career Achievement Award which honors an act that has advanced the popularity and acceptance of country music.
Chris Young will be at the Suwannee River Jam on May 1st. He’s also been added to the CMA Music Festival lineup. He missed out on the festivities last year. He was scheduled to play, but had to cancel after cutting himself in the kitchen and undergoing surgery.

Miranda Lambert made her traditional bunny cake yesterday – complete with coconut fur, Milk Dud eyes, pink skittle ears and mouth, licorice whiskers, and a Jujube nose. She’s also added a new member to her family… in the form of a new vintage camper. She picked up a blue and white 1961 Shasta that she’s named Dixie.

Cole Swindell took to Twitter yesterday to answer some questions from fans. Cole told them that he spent a summer working as a bank teller, and that he would play baseball of her were a pro athlete. The Georgia native is a big Braves fan.
The Grand Ole Opry kicked off its 90th Anniversary in March with a special show featuring Brad Paisley. But that’s just the beginning of the Opry’s planned birthday celebrations, which will take place throughout the rest of the year. Some of country’s biggest stars will be taking the Opry stage to help celebrate the milestone anniversary – including Florida Georgia Line, Rascal Flatts, and Reba.
Parmalee says their motto is “Keep on plugging.” Last Thursday at an Ohio show, they had to keep on plugging when a power outage kept them from plugging in. Fans with cell phones lit the stage and then helped the quartet get through their new song, “Already Callin’ You Mine.”

The 3 hour show included 3 encores and special guests including Taylor Swift, Grace Potter, Uncle Kracker, David Lee Murphy, and Joe Walsh plus opening acts Jake Owen and Chase Rice.
Chris Young has been go-go-go for awhile now with trips tom Japan, Australia, and Hawaii. Plus, he’s been working on his next album. He says he’ll take a breather once it’s finished and just get away from it a little while.

The two are each nominated for trophies at the 50th annual ACM Awards, which air live from Dallas on April 19th on CBS.
Brad Paisley brought a heavy dose of Moonshine Spirit to Austin, Texas this week for his appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live. Brad dressed Jimmy’s sidekick Guillermo in duds from his Boot Barn clothing line. And Brad even had Jimmy play harmonica on the Huey Lewis and the News’ cover “I Want a New Drug” at a private after party.
