September 22nd

Eric Church is taking his creativity to the fashion world.  He’s teamed up with Lucchese to launch a new line of boots called “These Boots” after his 2006 song.  Even the boots are named after his songs – like his women’s line which features 3 styles – “Carolina,” “Hell on the Heart,” and “Wrecking Ball.”  And the men’s styles – “Sinner,” “Talladega,” and “Outsider.”
Jerrod Niemann is almost officially off the market, ladies!  He and fiancée, Morgan Petek,will be married in San Juan, PR on October 12th and in lieu of gifts, have requested donations be made to Jerrod’s recently-launched charity – “Free the Music USA.”
Way to go, Dustin Lynch! Dustin has his FIRST #1-selling Digital Country Album with “Where It’s At.”
Garth Brooks will release his new album on November 11th.  It features his current single, “People Loving People.”  You can already pre-order at garthbrooks-dot-com and ghosttunes-dot-com.

September 19th

Montgomery Gentry’s latest single “Headlights” is the first new music from the boys since 2011.  Eddie and T-Roy promise a new album for 2015, too.  They’ll be at Silver Springs State Park on Saturday, November 22nd with Easton Corbin and Jackie Lee.  Tickets go on sale October 4th at 10AM.
Easton Corbin says that his latest single, “Baby, Be My Love Song,” was one of the first songs he recorded for the new album due out next year.  He said the first time he heard it, it just felt really good and the more he listened to it the better it got.
It is OFFICIAL... Cole Swindell will join Luke Bryan on his Farm Tour along with The Peach Pickers which includes Rhett Akins, Dallas Davidson, and Ben Hayslip.  Chancie Neal and DJ Rock will also be on hand on October 4th at Whitehurst Cattle Farm. Tickets still available at lukebryan-dot-com.
Garth Brooks has announced that his next set of shows will be in Kentucky.  And his wife, Trisha Yearwood, isn’t the only family member on the road with him.  His youngest daughter, Allie, sang as part of his backing band at his Chicago show on Sunday.
CELEBRITY BIRTHDAYS: Trisha Yearwood is 50.  Faith Hill turns 47 on Sunday.

September 17th

Garth Brooks is holding a press conference before he starts his string of shows in Atlanta on Friday.  Tickets are still available for most of his upcoming shows in Jacksonville – however, we did receive confirmation that his October 11th show is SOLD OUT.

Keith Urban is helping the Tennessee Department of Tourist Development by appearing in their newest commercial.
Florida Georgia Line has just signed a deal with CBS Sports for a customized version of their song “That’s What’s Up.”

September 16th

Tim McGraw’s Sundown Heaven Town is in stores today.  Tim says that he found so much great material for the album that in addition to the standard 13-track album, there’s also a Deluxe Edition with 5 additional songs.
George Strait has a new album out today, too… The Cowboy Rides Away: Live from AT&T Stadium features special guests including Eric Church, Jason Aldean, Kenny Chesney, Miranda Lambert, Martina McBride and more and was performed in front of nearly 105thousand people at the final show of his final tour.
Dustin Lynch has reached a milestone with his latest single “Where It’s At” sitting at the top of the Mediabase Country Charts!  It’s Dustin’s first #1.
Darius Rucker will release his first Christmas album, Home for the Holidays on October 27th.  It includes holiday classics, two originals, and a duet with Sheryl Crow on “Baby, It’s Cold Outside.”

September 15th

Keith Urban was forced to reschedule a show over the weekend after his father-in-law passed away unexpectedly.  Dr. Kidman lost his life following a fall he took in a hotel room while visiting his youngest daughter, Antonia, and her 6 children.
This should be... interesting.  Willie Nelson will be featured on an upcoming Paul McCartney tribute album called “The Art of McCartney.”  Willie will sing “Yesterday” which Sir Paul wrote for the Beatles’ 1965 album “Help!”
Rascal Flatts’ Joe Don Rooney can now add  “fashion expert” to his resume.  He and his 6-year-old son have inspired a golf fashion line for Slingo Wear.

September 12th

Carrie Underwood will be the executive producer for the limited event series, “Two Black Cadillacs.”  The 6-hour series has been picked up by Fox and she will work alongside veteran producer Jerry Bruckheimer.  The show follows the storyline of the song, and focuses on a love triangle in the “modern south.”  No premiere date has been set yet.
Kenny Chesney just earned his 25th #1 single with “American Kids.”  WOW!  The new album comes out on the 23rd and it’s called The Big Revival.
Miranda Lambert broke ground on Redemption Ranch.  It’s a 5-acre no-kill shelter to provide animals a safe haven while awaiting adoption to the furever families.  The grand opening is set for October.
Dolly Parton told Southern Living Magazine that she’s not ashamed of her “redneck” upbringing.  She says her background keeps her humble.
CELEBRITY BIRTHDAYS: Jennifer Nettles is 40 today.  Joe Don Rooney of Rascal Flatts turns 39 tomorrow.

September 11th

Kelli Pickler will release her next album, “The Woman I Am,” on pink vinyl on the 30th.  She’s donating the proceeds to Gilda’s House – a community-centered home for those dealing with cancer.  Kelli’s friend Summer was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2012 and Kelli shaved her head to show support.
Dustin Lynch has a MASSIVE crush on Reba! He even takes a special Reba memento on stage with him when he performs... it's his Reba cup.
Jason Aldean just bought himself a brand new Ford pickup truck that will spend the next month in a Georgia shop getting all tricked out for one cool ride.
Frankie Ballard is an old soul who loves Elvis, vinyl records, and writing letters... but when it comes to today’s technology of social media, he’s a big fan and does Twitter and Facebook often.  Check out our K COUNTRY BuzzClip on Facebook and on our website... it’s Frankie’s brand new video for “Sunshine & Whiskey.”

September 10th

Chris Young made a visit to the Nashville School of the Arts earlier this week to take part in its student-produced program, “NSA Presents.”  Chris is a Nashville Arts alumni and US Presidential Scholars in the Arts recipient... and made a presentation of his own.  He donated $30thousand dollars to help update and upgrade the school auditorium.
Lady A teamed up with a textile company to launch their own line of linens – The Heartland Home Collection.
Miranda Lambert will play Hawaii as the last show on her Platinum tour.  She says it’ll be her first time in Hawaii, and it’s also a gift to her crew... after the show wraps, they’ll spend some time vacationing there.
Luke Bryan says that even though his life has changed dramatically in the past few years, he’s that same country boy he always was.  He says that the more years he gets under his belt, the more he reverts back to that... he’s able to hunt and fish more, and he and his wife are currently building a house on a farm in Nashville.

September 9th

Congrats to Lady A’s Dave Haywood and his wife Kelli.  They welcomed their first child – a baby boy named Cash Van, into the world Sunday night.
Good thing Florida Georgia Line discussed their name a little longer... they were originally going to call themselves Orange Peach... for Florida and Georgia.
Seems Garth has learned something from Luke Bryan... and that’s how to take a fall.  Garth fell when he was jumping from the drum riser to the stage during his Friday night show in Chicago, but managed to jump back up and save face.
Miranda Lambert has opened a brand new bed & breakfast in her hometown of Tishomingo, OK called the Ladysmith.
David Nail kicks off his “I’m A Fire” tour in Mississippi on Thursday.  He’ll be at the House of Blues in Orlando on the 27th.
New albums out today – Dustin Lynch “Where It’s At,”  Lee Brice “I Don’t Dance,” and Brothers Osborne’s debut CD.

September 8th

Florida Georgia Line will appear on the season premiere of ABC’s hit show, “Nashville.”  They’ll perform with Charles Esten, who plays Deacon, on the show.  Luke Bryan is set to appear later this season.  The new season begins on the 24th.
New Nicholas Sparks movie is coming out – he did The Notebook... and the soundtrack includes songs from Lady Antebellum, Hunter Hayes, David Nail, Kip Moore, and Eli Young Band.
Kenny Chesney and his Blue Chair Bay Rum have partnered with Logan’s Roadhouse for the Everlasting Summer promotions currently running through mid-November.  The menu features signature dishes and drinks made with Kenny’s rum.
Congrats to Josh Turner and his wife, Jennifer... they welcomed their 4th son on Thursday morning.

September 5th

Yesterday Garth Brooks unveiled the beta launch of GhostTunes – a full-service music store giving fans the freedom to listen to the music they purchase on the platform and device of their choice, and giving artists a new way to sell their music any way they dream.  The site arrives with the digital distribution debut of Garth’s complete catalogue, a super bundle of his existing music and videos, as well as pre-order of his 2014 album AND his newly announced 2015 album – for one “crazy love price” of $29.99!
Hunter Hayes is addicted... he has been known to chug FIVE Mountain Dews a day.  He admits he’s addicted to caffeine.
Got another pilot in the country mix – we know about Dierks Bentley... but last weekend Tim McGraw piloted his own plane to his show in North Carolina.
Carrie Underwood is reportedly on board among the executive producers behind an upcoming FOX 6-hour, limited-event series based on her smash single, “Tow Black Cadillacs.”

September 4th

The nominees have been revealed for the 48th Annual CMA Awards.  Miranda Lambert tops the list with NINE nominations – matching the record she set in 2010... the most for any female artist in the history of the CMA awards.  Dierks Bentley received 5, Eric Church and Keith Urban collected 4 nominations each.  Luke Bryan, Kacey Musgraves, Blake Shelton and Carrie Underwood each received 3 nods.  The show will broadcast live from Nashville on Wednesday, November 5th at 8PM with your hosts... Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood.
Charlie Worsham, not too shabby a musician himself, says no one can compare to Dolly Parton.  He says she schooled everybody – all the guys in country music can’t hold a candle to Dolly.
Luke Bryan continues to break concert records on his current “That’s My Kinda Night” tour all over the country... and if records were kept on falling off stage... Luke would have that record covered as well.  He took another tumble off stage on Saturday when he played a concert in Indiana.
Rocker John Mellencamp had something pretty nice to tell Rolling Stone Magazine about Darius Rucker: “You know, I had the curse and blessing of being a pop star once.  For this guy to recover from that and go on to a new genre is very admirable.”

September 3rd

TMZ is reporting that while Caesar’s Palace in Vegas has been trying to fill the spot left empty by Celine Dion... Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert were offered a MILLION dollars to play ONE show at the Coliseum... and they turned it down.  They reportedly counter-offered $1.2million and the venue turned it down.
It’s another #1 hit for Lady Antebellum with their latest single “Bartender.”  The new album 747 will be in stores on the 30th.
New Jason Aldean album is set to hit stores on October 7th.  It’ll be his 6th studio album and called “Old Boots, New Dirt.”
Garth Brooks kicks off his world tour tomorrow night in Chicago... and he’s announced the first song from his upcoming album.  It’s called “People Loving People.”  No release date set for the new album, but Garth says it’ll be sometime during the tour.

September 2nd

Carrie Underwood has a couple of happy puppies…Penny and Ace are gonna be a big sister and big brother… Carrie and her husband, Mike Fisher, announced yesterday that they’re having their first baby!
Luke Bryan wrapped up his summer with Sunday’s sold-out show in Chicago.  He brought Cole Swindell out to perform Florida Georgia Line’s “This is How We Roll” – which he and Cole co-wrote.  He also had Lee Brice come back out to perform a song that Lee write for Eli Young Band... “Crazy Girl.”  Luke played piano and Lee played guitar and they took turns on lead vocals.  Luke brings his Farm Tour to North Central Florida on October 4th.
A new episode of CMT Crossroads on September 26th at 10PM... it features Lee Ann Womack and John Legend.

August 28th

Chris Young’s “Lonely Eyes” is inspired by Nashville’s renowned “Losers Bar & Grill.”  He says he’s spent his fair share of time at Losers just observing.
The Swon Brothers self-titled debut album comes out on October 14th.  Zach and Colton are currently sitting on a Top 15 hit with “Later On.”
Darius Rucker has a new album coming out, too... but not until early next year.  In the meantime, he’s released a new song from it – “Homegrown Honey.”  Darius wrote it with Lady A’s Charles Kelley, and Nathan Chapman.
Luke Bryan is a total sell-out... four times over!  He sold out 4 shows in 4 Ohio cities, became the FIRST country act to ever sell out the 45 year old venue and became the fist act from ANY genre to do so since New Kids on the Block performed there in 1993.

August 27th

Tim McGraw says he’s patterning his upcoming Live-Stream Music Series American Express “Unstaged” show on September 16th after Elvis’ 1968 Comeback Special... that’s the one where he’s got the black leather coat and everyone’s sitting around him
Hmmm... real... or ruse?  The latest in Brad Paisley’s “feud” with his record label about him leaking songs from his Moonshine in the Trunk album is that Brad has now shared what he claims is Sony/Nashville’s Gary Overton’s personal phone number and he’s encouraging fans to call and thank Gary for being so understanding about Brad’s rogue behavior.
The Grand Ole Opry is set to be showcased this weekend when the MDA Show of Strength Telethon airs Opry performances by Opry members Rascal Flatts and Sara Evans.  The telethon begins Sunday at 9PM on ABC.
Brett Eldredge is having a good time – he’s in Alaska catching HUGE fish... dancing to celebrate them... and even kissing them!  He’s there to perform at the Alaska State Fair.  Check out the fish-dancing video on our Facebook Fan Page!

Luke Bryan, The Band Perry and Miranda Lambert are on the “Fashion Rocks” lineup.  The show airs live on Tuesday, September 9th on CBS.
Martina McBride is getting ready to hit the road.  She’ll hit Sarasota, Melbourne, and Niceville in mid-October.
Trisha Yearwood’s new single “PrizeFighter” features Reba’s daughter-in-law.... Kelly Clarkson.  Her new album of the same name will be out September 15th.
Florida Georgia Line is launching their own clothing line – we announced the Can’t Afford Not To line a few months back.  Now Brian Kelley and his wife, Brittney, are launching Tribe Kelley this winter.

August 25th

Brad Paisley is offering no more hints, clues, and leaked music... because his new album Moonshine in the Trunk is available in stores and online today.  He says the whole vibe is basically, “Things aren’t perfect, but it’s Friday.”  By the way – it wasn’t supposed to be released until tomorrow.  Guess Brad just couldn’t wait.
When things get a little crazy, Brantley Gilbert knows there’s two people he can always turn to – and that’s his mom and dad.  He’s never afraid to ask for their advice when things get too big for him.
Carrie Underwood is in the trailer for Foo Fighters: Sonic Highways. The music documentary premieres on October 17th on HBO.
Hunter Hayes is hitting the road beginning October 30th in PA for his Fall tour.  He’ll be at the Jacksonville Veterans Memorial Arena on December 5th along with Dan + Shay and The Railers.
