May 26th

Tim McGraw is back in theaters in the new Disney film Tomorrowland which came out over the holiday weekend.  He plays the father of a girl who goes on a mission with George Clooney’s character to uncover the secrets of a place known as Tomorrowland, which exists in their collective memory somewhere in space and time.
Brett Eldredge is pretty good about working out and watching what he eats when he’s on the road, but he can’t pass up his mom’s brownies.  And she sends them on the bus from time to time for Brett and his crew.
Alan Jackson recently flew a family to Nashville on his private jet after finding out that 5 year old Joshua John Waldrop was battling stage 4 cancer.  He spent the day touring the Country Music Hall of Fame and Alan signed a special guitar for the little boy and used it to play the gospel classic “I’ll Fly Away,” and “Little Bitty,” which the little boy sang along to.
Brantley Gilbert says he’s looking for some new career goals since he accomplished a big one already…

May 22nd

Lady A’s Hillary Scott says she still keeps the Kevlar she was given during a big group photo at the ACM’s Salute the Troops special.  The woman who gave it to her had lost her brother in Afghanistan.
Tim McGraw loves the work he does through Operation Homefront.  He gives away homes to deserving vets.  And now Darius Rucker is doing the same.  Tim says the relief on their faces is what means the most to him.
Kristian Bush will be in Hawaii on Memorial Day to kick off his 2-week long international tour of US military bases.
Trace Adkins says thanking the military for their services should go year round – not just on Memorial Day or Veteran’s Day.
Craig Morgan says he sometimes entertains former Army coworkers on military entertainment tours because he spent a third of his life in the Army. 
Brad Paisley says he’ll never forget his Memorial Day mission to Afghanistan with President Obama…

May 21st

Keith Urban is crossing on over… he is featured – along with Stevie Wonder – on pop star Jason Derulo’s new song “Broke.”
Gloriana will release their first new album in 3 years.  It’s also their 3rd studio album… and aptly called “Three.”
Imagine this… “A Guy Walks into a Bar” by Blake SheltonTyler Farr says that Blake wanted that song bad!!!  But he was able to snag it and make it a #1 hit.
Chris Young is one of the many musicians that Tweeted about blues legend BB King’s death last weekend… but for Chris, it was personal.  He met Mr. King back in high school when he was picked for a special Jazz Grammy Youth Choir and was in New York City to play on TV… 

May 20th

Luke Bryan’s new album Kill the Lights will be released on August 7th.  He says it’s been 2 years since the last and he’s pretty excited about getting it out to fans.  He performed the first single from it, “Kick the Dust Up” on last night’s season finale of The Voice.
The first round of CMT Music Awards performers has been announced and includes… Carrie Underwood, Florida Georgia Line, Jason Aldean, Keith Urban, Kenny Chesney, Lady A, and Like Bryan.  The show airs live from Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena on June 10th.
How about this for an interesting pairing… Brad Paisley will open up for… The Rolling Stones at their June 17th show at LP Field in Nashville!  And it’s not the first time they’ve teamed up… in June of 2013, Brad joined the Stones at their concert in Philadelphia to perform with them!
Tyler Farr now has THREE #1 songs in a row – his latest is “A Guy Walks Into A Bar.”  And he has a pretty simple goal this year…


May 19th

Keith Urban and Blake Shelton will be part of Red Nose Day – a star-studded show to raise money and change the lives of children living in poverty in the US and in some of the poorest communities around the world.  Keith will join John Mellencamp for “Little Pink Houses,” and Blake appears in a clip visiting a mobile health clinic in Los Angeles that provides free, life-changing care to underprivileged children.  The show airs live Thursday night on NBC.
Thoughts and prayers are with Reba’s family.  Her older brother, Pake, suffered a stroke last week after back surgery.  He’s currently recovering in ICU.
Brantley Gilbert’s been keeping busy… he releases the platinum edition of his Just As I Am album today.  And this weekend he’ll lead a motorcycle ride with the Wounded Warrior Project from Houston to Baton Rouge.  Plus he’s been playing stadiums on Kenny Chesney’s “Big Reviv” tour.
It’s been a great run… and it’s still pluggin’ along… Kenny Chesney’s trusty old bus Moby passed the million mile mark somewhere outside of St. Louis.  Even though he no longer rides in the old Silver Eagle, crew and tech members on his tour do.  Kenny says that old bus sure has seen a lot - from when he opened for Alabama, to theatres, to amphitheatres, and now stadiums!

May 18th

Last night’s Billboard Music Awards brought two wins for Jason Aldean… one for Top Country Album with Old Boots, New Dirt.  The other for Top Country Song with “Burnin’ it Down.”  Carrie Underwood won Top Christian Song with “Something in the Water,” and Florida Georgia Line were named Top Country artist.
Brad Paisley once wrote and mixed part of song in the world’s most famous airplane… Air Force One!  He says it’s really wild to think he mixed a song over the Black Sea on that airplane last year when he joined the president to surprise service men and women serving in Iraq.
Miranda Lambert surprised her mom with a new Airstream completely tricked out with family heirlooms – like fabric from a shirt her dad wore on the Grand Ole Opry, a piece of tablecloth from Miranda and Blake’s wedding, and one of Miranda’s brother’s shirts.
Jon Pardi will celebrate his 30th birthday on a South African safari hunting trip on Wednesday.  Jon’s 2-week trip will be feautired on the Sportman Channel TV series Safari Hunter’s Jorunal…

May 15th

Darius Rucker launched his Southern Style tour in New Jersey last night.  During the run, Darius will give away 11 homes to heroic military veterans as a thank you for serving our country.  Darius brings his tour to the Tampa Amp along with Brett Eldredge, Brothers Osborne, and A Thousand Horses next Friday.
Keith Urban says he and his family have not left Nashville – despite some rumors.  They’re still there, they just spend a lot of time in LA during American Idol season.
Little Big Town will cut the ribbon on the opening day of Fan Fair at the 2015 CMA Music Festival running June 11th through the 14th.
CBS airs the ACM Presents: Superstar Duets special featuring many of today’s country stars with country icons from yesterday.  Sam Hunt performed “Fast As You” with Dwight Yoakam and said it was an honor just to meet him…

Brad Paisley has a hysterical new video for his latest single, “Crushin’ It!”  It features many of our favorite country artists as cartoon superheroes that Brad drew himself… like Dierks Bentley, Carrie Underwood, Jason Aldean, and more.  Other cartoon appearances include Blake & Miranda shootin’ beer cans, Luke Bryan shakin’ what his mama gave him, and the boys from Florida Georgia Line as “Beavis & Butthead.”  Check it out on our Facebook Fan Page and our website.
Nominees have been announced for the 2015 CMT Music Awards.  Carrie Underwood leads the pack with 5 nominations – including 2 for the night’s top prize Video of the Year.  Lady Antebellum and Kenny Chesney follow closely behind Carrie, earning 4 nods each.  The CMT Awards will air on June 10th at 8PM – the day before this year’s CMA Music Festival officially kicks off.  Voting has already begun at CMT-dot-com.
Luke Bryan has a new song coming out called “Kick the Dust Up” and he’ll perform it live on the season finale of The Voice on Tuesday.  The song is from Luke’s new album that is due out this summer.

We know Michael Ray is all about kisses in the morning, but waking up to new tattoos in the morning -- that’s a different story. Michael’s left arm is covered in ink, and he has plans to get his right arm sleeved out, too.

Brett Eldredge’s packing list for Darius Rucker’s Southern Style tour includes a yoga mat.  Brett says he’s having fun trying yoga for the first time, but admits he has a lot to learn… he’s found out he’s not very flexible and can’t touch his toes at all.  He has perfected his favorite pose, though… the “corpse pose” where you just lay there like you’re dead.
Chris Young has a new song called "I'm Comin' Over," the first song to be released from his upcoming 5th studio album which is due out this Fall.  To celebrate his new music, Chris is launching the Summer of "I'm Comin' Over" where fans can win a trip to see him in concert in select cities. Southern Rockers Lynyrd Skynyrd will team up with Brantley Gilbert next month for “CMT Crossroads: Lynyrd Skynyrd and Brantley Gilbert.” It will premiere Saturday, June 27th at 10PM.
