September 30, 2006
a.) During the period of October 1, 2005 through September 30, 2006 Ocala Broadcasting Corporation, LLC, (i.e. WOGK, WNDD, WNDT, WNDN and WLQH-AM) had one full time vacancy to be filled in any job title.
b.) Therefore, Ocala Broadcasting Corporation, LLC used the following sources to recruit candidates for the open WOGK News Director on air position. An ad was placed on an internet recruitment source (www.allaccess.com), a posting was made at the Ocala Broadcasting offices and a fax posting was sent to the other stations in our group in Ohio and Maryland.
c.) The opening was caused by the immediate dismissal of the News Director for his arrest for illegal activities. In order to receive the fastest turnaround of qualified and diverse candidates, the online recruitment and intercompany sources were deemed efficient for quickly filling the position.
d.) Twenty-two (22) people expressed interest in the position. Four (4) qualified candidates were contacted and interviewed in person and/or on the phone. All four of the candidates responded to the internet ad on AllAccess.com
e.) For a list and brief description of the required non vacancy specific recruitment measures selected from the FCC's menu that were undertaken, please refer to the narrative statement immediately following this page.
