Just 40 years ago, the earth stood still to watch in awe as the crew of Apollo 11 landed on the moon on July 20th, 1969. Four days earlier, the crew of three men - Neil Armstrong, Buzz Aldrin and Michael Collins - launched aboard the massive Saturn V rocket from NASA's Kennedy Space Center carrying the hopes and dreams of mankind with them. To commemorate this historic journey, Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex will be hosting special activities honoring the accomplishments of the Apollo program.
